Hello, and welcome to Melvin's academic website! 😊
I received my B.Sc. in Computer Science from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prior to and during my Master's studies, I worked closely with PhD candidates under the supervision of Prof. Michael R. Lyu. My recent research focuses on human-centric programming, such as the empirical investigation of developer tools and programming workflows to improve usability, efficiency, and learning outcomes. My interests focus on enhancing the coding experience through heuristic debugging assistance and code-repair tools for programmers and students. My existing research has also contributed to digital transformation in urban planning and management.
I am actively seeking opportunities for Ph.D. studies in the fall of 2026!
